Upward Bound Legal Teaching Instructor, University of Washington

I am working with Dean Le, the UW Dean of Admissions to teach a course of Intro to American Law. I have 25 of my own students that I lecture and coach for mock trial. 

Intellectual Property Project Assistant, Garvey Schubert Barer, 04/16 — 7/16

I am working with the intellectual property team to help integrate new trademark software and condense our international database. 

Litigation Assistant, Law Offices of William R. McGee – 06/15 — Present

Review potential client documents and draft a brief of the information for the firm’s head litigator. While in this position I have had the opportunity to write legal briefs, conduct legal research, update clients and handle court filings.

Congressional Intern, Congressman Darrell Issa – 09/15 — 12/15

I write statements for members of the congressional staff and help constituents who need assistance with a federal agency. This job has given me invaluable insight into the government and has provided me with increased professional skills and research abilities.

Editor-in-Chief, PUC Campus Chronicle – 09/14 — 06/15

Managed and directed my staff of 38 employees and a $25,000 operating budget. I successfully orchestrated production of the school’s newspaper and led our publication to the school’s first ever first place award from the College Media Association.

Editorial Intern, Competitor Publishing - 06/14 — 10/14

Wrote several articles for the following magazines: Competitor, VeloNews and Triathlete. Offered the opportunity to work directly with Triathlete’s editor-in-chief to hone my leadership, writing and editing skills. Highlight of the internship was publishing an article on Triathlete’s website that reached over 20,000 views within one week and was the top article of the month.

Teaching Assistant, Pacific Union College - 09/13 — 06/15

Graded papers and exams for both the history and geology departments. I was in charge of grading all final exam essays for the lower-division history classes and lecturing lower division government classes. The professors I assisted eventually made me their class tutors where I would administer exam preparation for entire classes and schedule individual tutoring sessions.

Research Assistant, Napa Valley Museum - 09/13 — 04/14

Worked in the museum’s archive department and conducted research to prepare for new museum exhibits. Compiled a complete history of each artifact and wrote the official museum display placard for all the guests to read. These tasks improved my ability to efficiently navigate specialized research programs and databases
